During the COVID-19 period, many brands of testing equipment for masks and meltblown materials appeared on the Chinese market. Although much of this equipment is now obsolete, some are still occasionally used for air filter media testing.
A common issue identified is that when test results exceed 99.99%, they are significantly higher than those obtained with the authoritative TSI 8130. Domestic machines often report higher efficiencies in the high-efficiency range and lower efficiencies in the low-efficiency range.

Many domestic filter media testers use a different principle compared to the TSI 8130.
