Many filter manufacturers have encountered these problems when selecting air filter testing equipment for their air filter products

1. Most of the filter test machine on the market is very expensive, which exceeds the profitability of enterprises. The prices of filter testing machine made in Germany and the United States are in the range of USD 150000~35000. It is a large investment for users.

2. Standards provide the provision of testing methods, but not an evaluation standard. It cannot be guaranteed that the test results are good, then the actual effect in use is also good. Only by using the same air filter testing equipment and test the same product can comparability be achieved. So, are the test results of expensive and fully compliant filter equipment necessarily accurate?

The answer is “NO”. Previously, American scholars sent filters made by the same materials, processes and operators to 8 different authoritative testing institutions in the United States. According to ASHRAE 52.2 testing method, the MERV grades of test results were different from 8 testing institutions, and the difference in E3 was higher than 20%.

3. When a company produces both coarse filter, pre-filter, fine filter and HEPA/ULPA filters. According to the standard, there are different detection methods, and need to purchase two filter testing machines. Both investment and operational complexity are challenges.

It is not only necessary to invest funds, but also to have enough space for equipment with a length of 13 meters. The thick operation instructions are also very unfriendly to non native language operators.

If you also encounter these problems, take a look at our air filter testing equipment!

The design and operation of the filter testing machine are all from the user's perspective, with small floor area, simple installation, operation and maintenance, high degree of automation, and the test results are compared with the authoritative testing institutes.

Our air filter testing equipment can test the following filter products: air filters for HAVC, HEPA, ULPA, automotive air conditioner filter (cabin air filter), filter element for vacuum cleaner, air conditioner, and purifier, etc.

How to choose the most appropriate filter testing machine according to your products?

1. According to your products, refer to corresponding standards.

Such as HEPA/ULPA filters associated with EN 1822 (High efficiency air filters (EPA, HEPA and ULPA)), ISO 29463 (High efficiency filters and filter media for removing particles in air). HVAC filters and air filter for general ventilation associated with ISO 16890 (Air filters for general utilization), EN 779 (Particulate air filters for general utilization – Determination of the filtration performance) and ASHRAE 52.2 (Method of Testing General Ventilation Air Cleaning Devices for Removal Efficiency by Particle Size). Cabin air filter is associated with ISO 11155, DIN 71460 (Road vehicles – Air filters for passenger companies), etc. In these standards, there are clear suggestions on filter classification basis, test aerosols, indicators to be tested, etc.

2. Select the appropriate filter test machine according to the standard.

If your products are air filter for general ventilation, classed G1~F9, need to test efficiency @0.4μm, dust holding capacity, arrestance (gravimetric efficiency), arrestance (gravimetric efficiency) as a function of dust hold, differential pressure s a function of dust hold, ePM1.0 etc., SC-7099 fine & EPA & HEPA air filters test system and SC-189 dust feeder are recommended.

If your products are HEPA/ULPA filters, filter efficiency and leak detection by scan method need to be tested. It is recommended to select SC-L8023/L8023U HEPA/ULPA filter testing machine. As for the difference between the two equipments, the main difference is that different counters are configured. The former configuration is particle counter with 0.3 μm~10μm for testing filtration efficiency @ 0.3 μ m, which is suitable for class H10~H14 HEPA filter testing. The latter configuration is particle counter with 0.1 μm ~ 10μm for testing filtration efficiency @ 0.1 μ m, which is suitable for class H10~U17 HEPA/ULPA filter testing.

If you have both HVAC filters and HEPA filters, and only need to test the filtration efficiency, SC-7099 FHE air filter test system is recommended.

If your products are air filter element for car cabins, it is recommended to select SC-11155 cabin air filter test system (testing equipment). Fractional efficiency, dust holding, arrestance etc. can be tested. SC-7099 can also test these filters.

Regardless of the purpose (application field) of your air filters, you can find suitable air filter testing equipment here. Spend less than 1/5 of the price of a German and USA brand, achieve the same quality control effect. We can also provide customized services and air filter testing equipment according to your requirements.
